MY FIRST STEP INTO MARKETING


This is my favorite project during my MBA degree: A marketing plan for opening a new restaurant in Milan, Italy. I was very devoted for it. During the process of making this plan, I was lucky to read the book "Pour your heart into it" of  Howard Schultz about how he built the Brand Starbucks and it was great help for my project. I recommend you to read this book if you also want to know more about traditional marketing, specially for retail brand. The book is much more helpful than many degrees promoted out there about marketing.

It was pay off, after many time checking and understand the brand as well as project, my project stand out right when I present to the professors and other fellows. She gave us maximum score and it also the moment I realize that I can do marketing, and I will do it well. Of course, it is still a long way, because marketing is the field which reflected in obvious way the changing or time, of the history. A decade ago, people mostly pursue traditional marketing as events, offline marketing, PR... but nowadays, marketing moving so quickly and online platform take over a big part of many company's budgets. And because of that, I am spending so much time to learn about digital platforms, and how to perform digital marketing which I will surely share with you more in other articles.
